The academy has a large pool of instruments, technical equipment and conference technology, most of which can be used free of charge for musical and cultural stays. Almost all rehearsal rooms are equipped with a piano or grand piano.

Ideally, you should let us know in advance which equipment you would like to use. If you need something at short notice, you can borrow it during reception opening hours.

Information on the use of our premises and equipment

The keyboard instruments in the rooms should be moved as little as possible. For the grand piano in the concert hall, the DampChaser (cart under the grand piano) must always be moved and must not be removed without prior agreement.

Leaving objects on grand pianos and upright pianos is prohibited; after all, our guests will still want to use the keyboard instruments in 20 years.

To protect the floors, we ask you to use appropriate protective devices when playing the cello, double bass and wind instruments.

We are happy to lend you these free of charge at reception – we have cello boards, rubber bands as well as carpet tiles and towels for urination

The rehearsal rooms can from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. can be used. While making music, the Window always closed to keep.

Would you like to practice for longer? In this case, the group leader would have to take over the locking service. Then you can also use the castle and farm building at night and in the morning. Please speak to us about this during reception opening hours.

In the castle building you will find the heating control for the entire room on the wall right next to the door. This reacts to movement. Therefore, it is usually sufficient to set it to 12 o'clock. The room will then heat up in 5-15 minutes. The guest houses, including the Luise Greger Hall, are controlled directly on the radiators using valves.

The outbuilding is heated by underfloor heating, which cannot be regulated manually. We do not have air conditioning. That is a shame, but in the height of summer it can sometimes make you sweat. Remember: even in the hot season, playing music is only allowed with the window closed.

Help us save energy!

Please turn off the lights and close all windows before leaving the rehearsal and meeting rooms. During the heating season, we also ask you to regulate the heating in the castle building (blue wheel on the wall) and in the Luise Greger Hall (radiator valve) accordingly. The utility building is heated with underfloor heating, so you do not need to adjust the heating after leaving the room; just close the windows and turn off the lights.
